Adult ADHD Assessments

If you’re looking for clarity around ADHD, my practice offers a thorough assessment process designed for adults. This includes the Conners' Adult ADHD Rating Scales (CAARS 2), which you can complete from home, along with a detailed clinical interview. Together, these steps provide a well-rounded understanding of how ADHD and any related factors might impact your focus, mood, and daily life. Each assessment is tailored to provide clear insights and practical recommendations to help you move forward with confidence.

Gain clarity and practical support with a comprehensive ADHD assessment tailored specifically for adults.

What to Expect in the ADHD Assessment Process

1. CAARS 2 Rating Scale
The assessment process begins with the CAARS 2, a respected tool for adult ADHD evaluation that you can complete from home. This tool helps identify patterns in attention, impulsivity, and behavior. You also have the option for someone close to you—such as a partner, family member, or friend—to complete an “observer” form, adding an external perspective to the assessment.

2. Clinical Interview
After the CAARS 2 is complete, we’ll schedule a clinical interview to discuss your background, daily experiences, and areas of concern. Using the CAARS 2 results as a foundation, this interview allows us to explore any patterns or symptoms in greater depth and consider other factors that might influence attention or behavior.

3. Diagnostic Report and Follow-Up
Upon completion, you will receive a detailed diagnostic report that includes a summary of the findings, any relevant diagnoses, and personalized recommendations. A follow-up session is available to discuss the report, answer any questions, and review potential next steps based on your goals and preferences.

Additional Information

Informed Consent and Confidentiality
Your privacy is a priority. All information gathered is strictly confidential and used solely for assessment purposes. Before we begin, we’ll review an informed consent form outlining your rights and the secure handling of your information.

Potential for Further Assessment
In cases where the initial assessment indicates additional factors, further evaluations may be recommended. These can include screenings for mood, anxiety, or executive functioning challenges to provide a well-rounded understanding.

Post-Diagnostic Support
Following the assessment, clients have the option to continue working with me in therapy to address ADHD-related challenges, or I can provide referrals to ADHD coaches, support groups, or other professionals. My aim is to connect you with the resources and support best suited to your goals, whether within my practice or through trusted colleagues.
